On October second, many things have happened, from important persian battles to presidential addresses. However the event that I think has had the most effect is on October second 1789 George Washington transmitted proposed bill of rights to states for Ratification. This is a very important event to all Americans because it is was what ended up guaranteeing us our rights. This event mainly effected our nation. It would also have been an important event when it was first happening because at the time one of the most controversial things about the constitution was that it did not have a bill of rights. I do appreciate this event because it secured many fundamental rights for Americans. There were also other influential event on this day such as Woodrow Wilson having a crippling stroke that would leave him partially paralyzed. Thurgood Marshall was also appointed as the first black supreme court justice.
