On October 1st, 1908, Henry Ford introduced the
model T car to the world. The model T car was a basic model, 4 cylinders and 22
horsepower. It was a very basic car. It only came in black and it was made on
an assembly line. It costed 825 dollars at the time, which is the same as
18,000 today. It was fairly expensive, but it was built for the everyday
person. It was stronger and more durable than the cars that came before it, but
also faster and just as affordable, making it a good car to own. It influenced the
nation because before the model T, cars were a luxury item that only the upper class
people could own. The model T was affordable and very usable for a family, and
made cars much more common to the general population. This was a very event
that took place. It modernized our nation and led to the industrial revolution.
