Assignment 7- Joonyoung Park
October 2, 2007- South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il met with each other for the Second Inter-Korean Summit. This event occurred after North Korea partially succeeded in detonating a nuclear weapon. The development of this weapon violated the agreements between the two countries. The two leaders met with each other to discuss the advancement of South-North relations, peace on the Korean Peninsula, common prosperity of the Korean people and unification of Korea.
