Assignment 8 Ben Schaeffer

Fears- Extreme heights where i feel exposed, centipedes among other bugs, swimming in open sea water when there's no water visibility, being a failure
Annoyances- Hypocrites (even though I can be one), dogs that won't shut up, super negative people, not being able to think quietly, bad hair days
Accomplishments- I'd rather not toot my own horn
Confusions- Why are things the way they are? and physics
Sorrows- no sorrows, nowadays I'm pretty proficient in the happy department
Dreams- Play lacrosse in college and work a job that I love
Idiosyncrasies- Doing me, making jokes, being goofy, lacrosse
Risks- Roller Coasters
Beloved Possessions- Thomas the Tank Engine (then) my lax stick (now)
Problems- staying focused

Why are things the way they are? Why is the sky blue? Why is my hair red? Why do mountains form the way they do? How will the Earth look in another billion years? I consistently ask myself questions of this nature. Some people think everything happens for a reason. I don't know why things happen or why things are the way they are, but I do know that sometimes things shouldn't be the way they are. For example, I feel as if appendixes shouldn't exist, but they do. Also, we should be evolved to not be allergic to pollen because it affects so many people. It's weird to think that every object on this planet is unique. The fact that any variation of elements could've made up Earth but we are stuck with the ones we have is the root of all of this. Every landscape and object is affected by our environment. I wonder what our Earth would look like if it was formed differently.
