Assignment 5 Shalom Saldana

I watch Tv as a form of entertainment, to pass the time, and as background noise when I'm doing homework.  Are used to not watch TV because I felt it was a waste of time but I found my medium. I only watch comedy shows because I enjoy laughing: shows like the league, family guy, last man on earth, bobs burgers, and so on. I find it difficult to follow any other TV genre. I just don't find them to be that interesting. TV can serve as a sufficient form of entertainment and has a system to deliver advertisements in persuasive messages to the masses. Most everyone watches TV so what better way to get your advertisement viewed.The fact that people pay more attention to the Emmys then to the Nobel prizes says that society favors popularity over its own societal progress.
