Assignment 8: "I never had to choose my subject- my subject rather chose me"- Amanda Byerman

Fears: rejection, death, being/feeling "out of control"
Annoyances: apathy, lateness, people following too closely (on the road, on the internet, in real life)
Accomplishments: trying my hardest
Confusions: Donald Trump supporters
Sorrows: poverty, illness (mental and physical), intolerance
Dreams: to help as many people as possible as much as possible
Idiosyncrasies: daydreamer, loves bridges, hates raisins
Risks: very few, but working on it
Beloved Possessions, Now and Then: books (now AND then both)
Problems: so many
(no but really just keeping a positive attitude w/ myself, keeping on track with goals)

I really love bridges. It is a well-known quirk of mine among my closest friends and family that they hold a very special place in my heart; every time we pass one, whether by car, bike, or foot, I'll exclaim my deep, heartfelt adoration for bridges.

This love is one which developed in me quite spontaneously, without any real prompting. I suppose I love the idea that human beings realized they couldn't get from one place to another easily, then outsmarted Mother Earth herself by building a way to avoid any energy or time wasted.

I also adore the symbolism surrounding bridges as well- to me, they mean a new connection being forged, however unlikely. They allow you to elevate yourself above the rocky plain or turbulent waters below while observing the difficulties below. Bridges lead to new territory, uncharted for some, but regardless a dramatic change in scenery from what you had experienced before.
