Assignment 10- Amanda Byerman

I sit next to some of the most interesting, kind, and outgoing people of Henry Clay. Coming in to a new school as a junior is a trying experience for anyone, and so much of that experience relies upon the kind of people you meet in your first hour of school. I was fortunate enough, at the very start of the year, to be sat next to one of the kindest, smartest, and most good-natured people I have met at Henry Clay: Grace Bond. She invited me to lunch on the first day of school, and although that was unfortunately a missed appointment, the gesture of having someone so willing to welcome me was hugely reassuring. She is passionate about helping people and doing her best in whatever she does, characteristics that I find very admirable. I will forever be grateful to have met her and for her extending such a kind and welcoming hand to me, and truly touching my heart in doing such.
