Saurav Khadka- Assignment 9
In a perfect society, a utopia, we would never go to war. However since humans don't live in an utopia, war is a common theme throughout history, showing its atrocities in almost every different peoples to ever have lived. There have been countless opponents of the idea of war, but in reality it is a dreaded necessity. Diplomacy only gets one so far. Once a conflict reaches a certain point, it is unavoidable and it necessitates war. When a group cannot see the faults in a morally wrong issue or begs to violate the rights of others, and when diplomatic resolutions fail, then to defend what good is left on this good earth, war is justified. And while war may not be morally right, it is necessary to preserve the moral values that all human hold. The need to use violence to ensure the greater good for all humans is sometimes necessary and justifiable.
