Assignment 12- Leighanne Guettler-James

Native American and aboriginal animism has always captured my curiosity. In many of these cultures, they believed that inanimate objects had spirits and feelings and that we were all connected, and I often look around at the objects perpetually surrounding me and wonder if they have a spirit within them.

My name is Samantha. Samantha sock. Our dark gray-colored exterior sometimes leads the other clothing to believe that  am gloomy or sad but when you fold down my top, you can see my bright yellow inside. I sit the dresser and wonder if today is the day that I will be the one to serve the all-mighty foot. When the clock strikes 6:30, I know its choosing time. I see the obedient hand reach into my section of the dresser but the hand does not choose me, instead it reaches for Samuel and Stanley, my friends. Samuel is a nice fellow and I'm sad that I won't see him now until he makes it through laundry, a process that can take months. Because I'm not chosen, I relax again and settle into my usual routine. I say hello to the stalkings across the dresser and they just ignore me as usual. Those stalkings think they are so cute because they always get worn to the special events. I wish I was a stalking.
