Before I finish high school, I want to learn to take some chances, some risks. I want to figure out how to appreciate this time in my life when I have the freedom to do what I want without having to worry about taxes or debts or kids. Right now, I am so consequence-oriented that I refuse to take chances. I want to learn and grow during this time and take advantages of the opportunities I have now.
Before I finish college, I do have a more specific goal: to be able to travel outside of the United States. Ideally, I would be able to study abroad in at least three different countries. I think college is all about getting those new experiences, to explore and grow and find yourself, and I think a necessary part of that for me is to be able to experience different cultures and places to figure out what I like and what I want to do with my life.
Before I die, I want to feel successful and fulfilled in my life and what I’ve done with it, both in my personal and professional life. I hope that my life will have prepared me so that I can come to terms with my accomplishments and find happiness in those, even if they don’t match what my goals are right now.
