Assignment 17 Nick Falk

I watched two movies directed by Steven Spielberg. The two movies were Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark. While these movies were made by the same director, they are quite different when it comes to the material that makes up these films. Jaws, first of all, was composed with many jump scares to keep the audience engaged, while the Indiana Jones film had none of that. The Indiana Jones film also was created to be very light-hearted. The films material had many witty comments, as well as, very little negative action done to the protagonist, Indiana Jones. In Indiana Jones, there was little death and most of it was uneventful, or minor in comparison to the film. Jaws, may not have killed off many characters, but some consisted of major characters. One similarity these two films show is that they both end in happy endings. That is not much in common.
