Assignment 17: Horray for Hollywood- Jake Tucker

Recently, I sat down to watch two movies to complete this assignment. I decided to watch two James Cameron movies, Avatar and The Titanic, and I will say hat they are completely different. There is really only one thing these two films have in common, and that is the length, both being very long movies that take too long to get to the point the audience really wants to see. Other than that they are completely different. Avatar has high tech animation and breath-taking graphics telling the story of blue, monkey people, and The Titanic is mostly about two teenagers falling in love on a boat that everybody knows will sink. While James Cameron is the director for both movies, one obviously could not tell, and this shows his great range as a directoer. He is able to produce both movies very successfully, evidenced by the awards both movies won. They are both good movies and show what is possible in Hollywood.
