Assignment 18 Ben Schaeffer

1. Before I finish high school, I would love to win four state lacrosse championships. Two down two to go. This is a goal that will require significant amounts of hard work, but I find it achievable. Accomplishing this will instill a sense of pride knowing Henry Clay would've done something few high schools have done, regardless of the popularity of the sport.

2. Before I finish college I would love to travel to Europe on top of the extra curriculars that I plan on doing. Experiencing different cultures gives a young man an open mind. In addition, there is huge amounts of history in Europe, something that captivates me. Hopefully I could catch an English soccer game. Being apart of a sport's atmosphere found in the Midlands would be an unforgettable experience.

3. My overall item is to travel to Northern Alaska to experience the wilderness and serenity. Specifically Gates of the Arctic National Park. I would ideally go up alone or with Ian. With all due respect to Chris McCandless, I would go up prepared. The goal of the trip would not be to get away from society, but rather to experience one of the most untouched places on Earth. The hiking, wildlife, and fishing up there could make a life lasting memory.
