Saurav Khadka- Assignment 4
Before this picture was taken, the world was already aware of the horror that was the Syrian civil war and Aleppo in particular. However, this picture still managed to bring out emotions and anger towards what was happening. The picture which surfaced in August of 2016, shows Omran, a little Syrian kid, who is sitting in the back of an ambulance after an airstrike and blood pouring from his forehead while a shocked expression blanks his face. This is devastating to look at, and makes me wonder of the atrocious effects of this long and ongoing conflict. Why do such horrors still exist? This airstrike ordered by Assad and Russian forces, makes my hatred for them grow. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, that couldn't be more true.
