Assignment 4 - Will Blitch

                 

This is an image of federal agents storming a home in Miami in 2000 and confront six year old Elian Gonzalez. He came from Cuba illegally with his mother and other immigrants, he had previously watched his mother drown on the way over from Cuba and was forced to go back to Cuba to his father.  In the rest of the house the federal agents are looking for more immigrants. I think this provokes a lot of thought about illegal immigration. Especially today when illegal immigration is a very large political issue. It is a hard issue to approach because many people dislike illegal immigrants coming to our country and taking jobs, but you also cannot get very angry at them because they are just out here trying to live a better life. Most of us in their situation would try to do the same thing. Its also really sad to see some little kid who's mom died have a fed put a gun in his face. Many stories of immigration like this have a tragic backstory behind it.
