Assignment 14- Caitlin Southworth

Thanksgiving- a time when there’s no school, lots of food and some nice family time. Or for my family, craziness squished into one house. I usually go to my pappy’s house on Thanksgiving along with my parents and sister, my mom’s sister and her daughter (my cousin), and my mom’s brother and his bunch- including his wife and five kids (middle- school aged through 20’s) of which his oldest daughter brings her husband and five kids. So as it’s easy to tell, there are a bunch of people under one roof. For some families this wouldn’t be much of a problem but my uncle’s kids can’t go five minutes without getting into an argument with everyone yelling, on top of two kids running around also yelling and twin babies crying- it gets loud almost instantly. It’s quite a lot during the holidays, and a lot of food has to be made, but it’s family, so you gotta keep them around. And after the Thanksgiving fiasco, we do it all over again one month later on Christmas Eve.
