Zombies Attack.
OK. So the first thing you have to do when the zombie apocalypse finally dawns upon us is assemble the perfect survival team. The team has to work well together because its chemistry is what will keep us alive in the end. If you don't have the most carefully constructed team, it will crack under pressure and most likely end up eating each other for survival, instead of fighting off the real enemy: zombies.
Once you have assembled the dream team, internal survival is next. You will want to gather all the necessary food supplies and stock up to last your team a lifetime.
For protection, you're gonna need like lots of Carhart coats and sweatshirts. Have you ever tried to bite through a Carhart coat? Try that plus like 2 sweatshirts and you're un"bite"able. However, the most important weapon you will need is a gun. You need to find the most powerful assault weapon in Kentucky, and steal as much ammo as possible. Gun-protection is no longer valid when flesh-eating zombies are on the prowl.
After obtaining all the supplies, it is imperative to relocate to the most rural nearby area. The lower the population, the less zombies there will be. Because we live in Lexington, KY, we'll probably be making the trip to the painted mountains of Eastern Kentucky. More specifically, we would relocate to the Stumbo residence in Prestonsburg KY. The Stumbo household in Prestonsburg is the perfect location for survival. You can ride the golf-cart to the local gas station for endless amounts of Corn-Nuts and Beef-Jerky and the house itself is located in a prime location. On top of one of the biggest hills in KY, you can see for miles away. Defending your grounds would become easier and more efficient because you could now see from all angles.
