Blog 2- Safal Dumre

In the last two decades technology has had a surge in development and today is pretty much in every aspect of our lives. For the most part that has been for the best. Technology helps to facilitate tasks and allows for more efficiency. Transportation, communication, education have all had a positive effect from the technological surge. There are, however, a lot of negative effects that technology has had on our lives as well. Today almost everyone has a smart phone and is therefore connected to a vast amount of information on the internet, but it also has made people less connected to the people around them. Social interactions are no longer the only option because people can just look down at their device and experience the moment in their own world separate from the obligation of social interaction. In addition to the effects socially, technology has also had a negative impact on the earth. Technology has created factories which cause major pollution and waste in our world. Technology has increased the demand for raw materials and resources which we have drained the earth of. The damage that technology has had is usually overlooked because of the benefits, but it is important to also keep in mind the negatives aspects of technology moving forward.
