assignment 2 Nick Walters

Technology has affected my life in a major way, mostly for the better. Technology, although it can be very frustrating at times, makes life so much easier.
Technology helps me a ton in school. If I need to look up something, I can type the question into my phone and find an answer in less than a minute. It makes homework much easier because if I don’t know something, I can look it up or quickly text a friend and ask for help. A couple of my classes this year use a website where they post their daily lessons so people can easily watch at home from their computers after school. This is especially helpful when I miss some important information during class or if I’m absent one day, because I can easily go online and watch the lesson from that class.

It also makes my social life a lot more connected. Through technology, I can have a conversation with anyone from anywhere, at any time. Before, if you wanted to talk to someone who you didn’t see regularly, you would have to write them a letter, which could take up to a week to just get a reply. Now I can have a conversation in a matter of seconds. Also, it makes it easier to make plans with a large group of people because we can all talk in a group chat and make a plan when we can’t actually be together to discuss plans. It also makes it easier, at least for me, to plan around my job. I can view my upcoming schedule from online and request days off and tell my manager when I’m not available with a few clicks of the mouse. Technology allows people to make many transactions from their bed without even getting up. If you want tickets to a concert or game, you can go online and buy them with a few clicks and have them months before the actual event. Without technology, my daily life would be much more difficult and require me to do much more than I do now.
