Assignment 2- Joonyoung Park

Technology has become a major part of everyone's lives in the 21st century. Much of this technology is still advancing and will continue to advance. Today most people have a cell phone and/or a laptop. These devices allow us to connect to the internet and share information with the people around us. For me, I really like to socialize with friends and watch movies on my phone. But I also realize that I am developing too strong of a reliance to my phone. These reliances are beginning to have negative impacts on our society. For example, people are using technology to bully others or are using technology to steal confidential data. Not only this, but due to increased cell phone use, we spend less and less time with our friends and family. Had I lived in a different time period, I would've probably hung out with friends more often and spent more time with my family together. Since I would spend a lot more time with friends and family, I would've had a much more tighter relationship with them than I do in the present. I think that both societies have their advantages and disadvantages, so I would not really prefer to live in one time period or another.
