"Become a futurist and theorize on how might technology evolve over the next decade and what changes might those changes bring"
In the future, I can only hope our technology will have advanced to improve our quality of living as a species. I worry, however, that the most technology will only serve the most privileged among us, who can pay for it. While it sounds great in theory to have new virtual reality systems or glasses that you can text with, these all fail to have any major impact on the quality of life for most of the world.
It is my hope that we will have developed technology to ensure the basic needs of all people in the world are met and hopefully exceeded. To find a way to provide affordable, clean water and nutritious food to all people, particularly those least privileged in the world, would be a remarkable step forward. The best way for us to improve our technology is to simply make it more accessible to everyone; resources like the internet which we may take for granted in our daily lives, could provide life-changing information and education to people who have never experienced it before.
These changes would provide more opportunity to the underprivileged, therefore lessening the dramatically uneven wage gap worldwide and leading to more innovation.
