I found this year in English very enjoyable, and I definitely broadened my skills as a writer. The frequent practice in writing essays improved my voice, and I now feel more confident as a writer. In order to continue this trend of improvement, I think individual writing conferences would be very helpful. This would give us a chance to receive your professional opinion and any constructive criticism that would be helpful. In addition, I think more Socratic Seminars would be helpful. These develop valuable skills and force us to synthesize information. I looked forward to all of the Socratic Seminars, and I thought they were structured very well. Hearing people's different interpretations of the text definitely gave me a different outlook on writing and how to look for implicit meaning. Finally, I would've personally liked more grammar and vocab practice. This is more of a matter of opinion because I think both are useful to understanding English; although, it is not entirely necessary to learn for the AP test. It could be as simple as one page worksheets for just a little extra practice.
