Assignment 25 Ben Schaeffer
As somebody who seldom gets stressed, I have found the best way to relieve stress is to put things into perspective. For finals and AP tests, I might remind myself that I've done excellent in the class all year, so there's nothing to worry about, and if I've not been so hot in the class, I'll study hard for the AP test but worst case scenario I'll take the class again in college. Generally, I'm very good at giving myself mini pep talks which equates to a lot less stress. Sometimes if I find myself worrying, that usually means I'm not accomplishing anything. In such situations, I'll get up and start being proactive about whatever it is I need to do. That way I kill two birds with one stone- I minimize stress and I accomplish whatever it is I was worrying about in the first place. For stressing over less significant tests, I ask myself if the Ben Schaeffer three months from now would really be affected if I don't do well. This isn't an excuse to be lazy, it just relaxes me.
