Assignment 20 - How to. Tobias Cox

How to concentrate:

When a lot of people concentrate, they attempt to clear their mind of everything unrelated to what they are doing, attempting to leave all of the other things that they may worry about behind. This may be effective, but I believe that I have a more effective method, through necessity, as I am not well versed in leaving much of anything behind. First, you must gather your thoughts, and decide what you are angry about, what you are happy about, what you are sad about, what you are excited about, and what you are jealous of. Then, you must put each of these feelings into categories. Next comes the hard part. Based on the categories you made, relate each set of feelings to what you are doing, and use them as fuel for your productivity. If you are angry, do everything quickly and with a tense purpose. If you are happy, turn on upbeat music and work. If you are sad, work for the purpose of fixing whatever is wrong. If you are jealous, work with the purpose of attaining everything. Thus is the secret to concentrating while distracted.
