We all get in our feels from time to time. It is as human as breathing itself. When we get in our feels, we all have different things we do, different steps we take. However, the progression of emotions one feels is the same, or at least it should be. Here is a playlist to guide you as you go through this progression of emotions.
Feelsies Transition
1) Slow It Down- The Lumineers
First comes the sadness, the aching and the reminiscing of the thing we miss, the thing we desire but can't have, or the thing that we can't pinpoint as to what is making us feel the way we are. We feel this confusing, pensive, reminiscent sadness.
2) Adam's Song- Blink 182
Then comes the wave of anger and sadness coupled in one as we try to find something or someone to blame. We begin by blaming others or inanimate objects but soon we start blaming ourselves and all that anger turns once again into pure sadness.
3) Iris-The Goo Goo Dolls
The wave of sadness puts us back in the mood of sadness that previously existed within us, however it isn't the same. Now is the rock bottom of our sadness. There is no reminiscing of you past happiness, nor is there any hope left that things will change for the better. This is pure sadness and we have officially hit rock bottom.
4) Riptide- Vance Joy
Suddenly, there's a spark. Out of nowhere, there is this spark. We don't know where it came from but it is definitely there. Maybe there is hope after all. All of our sadness hasn't washed away but we can see the greatness of the past once more, and perhaps we can replicate it once more.
5) Snow (Hey Oh)- Red Hot Chili Peppers
Now, we're really feeling it. Oh yeah, baby! We are back. We begin to build ourselves back up. What on earth were we just pitying ourselves for? Unbelievable. We rock, and we know it. Oh yeah!
